    Module 1: Hyper-V Overview
    After completing this module, students will be able to:
    •Explain how Hyper-V is a feature of Windows Server 2008
    •Identify the requirements and features of Hyper-V
    •Identify Hyper-V core design scenarios

    Module 2: Technical Background and ArchitectureAfter completing this module, students will be able to:
    •Explain how the underlying architecture of Hyper-V is structured
    •Explain how to install Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 Server Core computers
    •Explain how to perform and automate common management tasks using tools such as Windows PowerShell
    •Explain the capabilities of System Center Virtual Machine Manager and how it can be leveraged to manage Hyper-V servers
    •Identify other features and capabilities of Hyper-V
    •Explain how Hyper-V can be used to create highly available servers

    Module 3: Managing Hyper-V
    After completing this module, students will be able to:
    •Manage virtualization settings
    •Manage virtual hard disks (VHDs)
    •Modify virtual hard disks
    •Manage virtual networking using the virtual switch

    Module 4: Implementation ScenariosAfter completing this module, students will be able to:
    •Identify how Hyper-V can be used for server consolidation
    •Identify how Hyper-V can be used in a dynamic data center
    •Identify how Hyper-V can be used for branch office operations
    •Identify how Hyper-V can be used in testing and development
    Module 5: Best PracticesAfter completing this module, students will be able to:
    •Identify best practices for Hyper-V hardware
    •Identify best practices for Hyper-V disks
    •Identify best practices for installing Hyper-V enhancements
