Develop essential analytical skills and foster creativity to respond to industry challenges (awarded in partnership with University of Derby).

Master's Degree.

The academically challenging MSc in International Hospitality Management is awarded in collaboration with Swiss Hotel Management School's academic partner, the University of Derby, UK. The MSc programme seeks to develop students’ critical analytical skills and foster their creativity to enable them to respond to key challenges facing the industry in the 21st century.

The independent study module provides students with the opportunity to research, analyse and produce a major piece of work on a subject of their choice.

Semester 1 (5 months) - Leysin campus / Semester 2 (6 months) - On or off campus: 
International Hospitality Management

Semester 1 (5 months) - Leysin campus: Academic semester

Semester 2 (6 months) - On or off campus: Independent study

Independent study forms the entire Master’s stage of the programme and as an option students can choose to undertake an integrated business project or the module ‘Independent Scholarship’ on or off campus.

Entry Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with honours (minimum 2:2) in Hospitality Management / Events Management
  • English language proficiency of TOEFL iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0
  • Mature applicants with over 3 to 5 years supervisory work experience may be considered without higher qualifications

For students who require a visa to enter Switzerland it is important that you contact the Swiss Embassy in your home country to find out the length of time necessary for your visa application. In certain countries it may take up to 12 weeks for a visa to be approved.
