    • Objectives:

    1. Understand the fundamental principles of electrical engineering and electrical systems, including key concepts in electrical circuits, electronics, and control theory.
    2. Explain how electrical engineering principles are applied to solve problems and design electrical systems in various environments.
    3. Understand the importance of energy efficiency, sustainability, and safety in the planning and designing of electrical systems.
    4. Use simulation software and design tools to model and evaluate electrical systems in real-world situations.
    5. Integrate automation and control principles into electrical systems to optimize performance and energy management.
    6. Design complete electrical systems that meet quality and safety standards, considering technical, economic, and social factors.
    Foreign Language Requirement

    Students in this major must demonstrate a basic proficiency in a foreign language. This may be done by one of these situations:

    1. Completing two years of a single foreign language course in high school

    2. Completing the second semester of an intermediate foreign language course at a college level. Students with previous language experience must consult with an advisor for course placement. Students must complete intermediate Language II

    3. Passing an examination acceptable to the foreign language faculty as proof of proficiency equivalent to successful completion of the second semester
